Excellent condition. Nicest dot over 90 bezel Ive ever seen. Original 1039 bracelet with 516 end links exhibits very minor stretch and is large enough to easily fit at least a 7.5 inch wrist. The case, bracelet, and caseback were lightly refinished at some point, but the case still retains super sharp edges and caseback looks to be in amazing condition. The original signed Omega crystal does show some small signs of wear, but is still in very good shape and not in need of replacement.
Original stepped dial and hands look almost perfect - the dial lume has taken on a light mint-green hue, not uncommon to see in circa 1970 Speedmasters. Lume is intact throughout, and glows faintly for just a few seconds when exposed to bright light.
Previous owner stated that the movement had been serviced within the past year - but no paperwork/receipt available. That being said, the watch is currently running great and winding smoothly. All chrono hands snap back to zero.
According to various sources, the 30xxx,xxx serial cal 861 movement is at the end of the right range for DON bezels, and pre-moon casebacks being fitted to 145.022 Speedies. The 1039 bracelet would also be correct for this time period. Im not qualified as an expert, but I believe this to be an original and nearly pristine example of the Speedmaster 145.022 69 ST.
