I bought this bike roughly a year ago after I sold my KTM SuperDuke. I needed something that I could take off road on a moment's notice when on a road trip through Canada or wherever. Well, after doing some good mods on it, I'm ready to take my big trip to Nova Scotia. Suddenly, I got the green light from the bride saying that I can buy myself a new bike. But I need to sell two of my bikes.
So that's the only reason I'm selling this bike. I've got my sights set on something big with 21 inch front wheels.
About this bike, it's a 2006 Suzuki that I purchased from a retired Sheriff in Northern California. I installed and IMS tank because if you're going to do road trips you need something that holds enough fuel for 200 miles. This tank will get me to about 200 miles. Also, I installed a new very expensive Pro Circuit exhaust muffler. And also, the bikes been mildly rejetted with a slight air box mod. The bike runs so good! It needs nothing!
As far as suspension, I bought the parts for the front end rebuild and also I have a Race Tech rear spring. Note, the front end does not need to be rebuilt. They have not yet been installed. So it comes along with the bike or the next owner to install. These parts alone for almost $300. Also the bike comes with a Corbin seat for traveling, the original undented gas tank, and whatever spare parts I had laying around for the bike.
If have already performed the NSU modification. That stands for neutral sending unit. It has been said that the screws securing the NSU can come loose. One of the first things I did was to secure it with Loctite.
Mileage. It has less than 9000 miles.
I bought the bike with about 6000 miles. I've taken one trip on it to the Lost Coast in Northern California. The rest of the riding has been my commute from San Francisco to downtown San Francisco. That's it.
No crashes. Nothing weird about the bike.
It's a solid bike and it needs nothing. It's ready to cross any border. As a matter of fact, if I don't sell it next week I will be doing a 5-day tour. Approximately another 1500 miles.
If you have any questions give me a call or send me a message.
I just remembered, I also installed the galfer 320 big brake rotor because I knew this was a commute bike and strong brakes are so important when splitting Lanes.
