'08 new gen. only 3939 miles and clean. Dropped once as I lost footing at walking pace. Scuffed front fender and L. hand guard, pretty minor really but hey, it looks like a KLR should now! All else looks like new. Runs perfect. Brake in done as it should be by my anal 63 y/o brain. Uses no oil at all between changes. Shortly after buying new wife and I did a 900 mile camping trip to the OR. border and back to Mendo. Lot's of 2 up fire road stuff and had a great time, it did well cruising at 70 on the hwy. We loaded for 5 days of camping - tent, stove, cooking utensils, sleeping bags and pads, food, cooler, clothes, and odds and ends. You can haul a load on this w/o issue. Always meticulously maintained, I'm on my 8th oil change in just under 4k miles. I change annually or 1500 miles whatever comes first. Pics show the only flaws on bike.
